Hello, and thank you for stopping by! It's my privilege to get to know you and work alongside you on your journey. While I've worn many hats in my lifetime, the most rewarding and transformative role has been that of a parent.
From Casino Industry to Empowering Parents
My career journey began in the dynamic world of the casino industry, where I specialized in sales and convention planning. It was a demanding yet fulfilling role, allowing me to connect with diverse individuals and orchestrate multifaceted events. This experience honed my interpersonal communication and team-building skills, setting the stage for my future endeavors. My first son's arrival prompted me to take a bold step to create an independent meeting and convention business so that I could better meet his needs and mine. As my family grew with the addition of my second son, who was diagnosed with learning difficulties, life challenged me to evolve in new ways. I didn’t have the skills and the knowledge to support his needs and I knew I needed help!
A Transformative Encounter
In pursuit of resources and support, I was fortunate to be invited to partake in a life-changing opportunity—an intensive six-month parenting education training course developed by Diane Wagenhals of Lakeside Educational Network. This course answered the questions of how I would support my son while maintaining his emotional health and the health of our relationship. The program was transformative! It would become my passion to make sure I would do all I could to share this information with other parents.
Empowering Parents and Transforming Lives
After completing a rigorous two-year training program with Lakeside Educational Network, I earned the title of a Certified Parenting Educator Trainer. I co-founded a non-profit organization dedicated to nurturing and empowering parents. We provided Lakeside's transformative six-month course in schools, and to other organizations equipping parents, professionals, and paraprofessionals to become Certified Parenting Educators who could then share these vital lessons in their communities.
As my journey continued, I began offering one-on-one coaching to parents seeking private guidance. This path led me to research topics that would expand my knowledge so I could help them with their concerns. I embraced the opportunity to join a DBT (Dialectical Behavior Therapy) Skills Group, expanding my knowledge in mindfulness, distress tolerance, interpersonal effectiveness, and emotional regulation.

Over the years, I've worked with countless individuals, couples, and families, helping them navigate their way to achieve their goals. It's been a remarkable experience filled with inspiring stories of transformation.
